Investigations over Turkish-made pistols shipment to carry out

SANA'A, Nov.07 (Saba) – Customs Department head Mohamed Mansour hailed the directions of the Turkish Customs and
Trade Minister to investigate on the event of a biscuits shipment seized by the authorities in Aden Free Zone (AFZ)
coming from Turkey and containing a large number of Turkish-made pistols in small sizes were hidden in the biscuits cartons.
During his meeting with the Turkish ambassador to Yemen Fazli Corman, the customs head said that Yemen is keen to
promote its relations with Turkey, affirming the importance of enhancing the cooperation sides between Yemen and
Turkey in customs field especially.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador asserted his country's readiness to provide the needed support for the Yemeni
authorities in order to reveal the issue of pistols shipment.
Turkey will sign in the coming period a cooperation agreement in customs area between the two countries, he added.
